pixPinoyA new playground has been opened to the public at the Rizal Park in Campbelltown.The opening of the playground comes as part of the phase 1 stage of the Rizal Park Development Program. The project is supported by the Campbelltown City Council, the office of the mayor, and the Rizal Park Movement spearheaded by Filipino community leaders in Campbelltown.Mayor Russel Matheson, consul general Eva Betita, Lourdes Kaiser of the Rizal Park Movement and other community leaders were at the site recently to formally open the playground.The Rizal Park Development project is backed by a $120,000 grant from the government. The park is situated in an area along the Anthony Drive Rosemeadow and becomes biggest landmark in honour of the Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. August 14, 2009 (photos courtesy of L.
